Is Recession Back To Haunt Us Again?

Call me a recession-paranoid individual or what, I have been mulling over this for the last few days. Seriously, I have not equipped myself with significant and fact-proven inputs to substantiate my outlook with regard to the recession. However, considering the rat-race situation from bigwig corporate worlds to small companies in virtually every sector of the commercial market, I conclude that the intensity of fight of these companies to deal with their existential crisis and the “less-than-expected outcome” that they gain is downright vindication of my concern to “the return of recession” rhetoric.

Though I have stated in the beginning of the article that I have not done much research to substantiate my outlook regarding the presence of recession, yet I did do few researches which undeniably gave fodder to my apprehension about it. But those inputs were not sufficient and relevant to the kind of my concern being conveyed through this article. Hence, I thought better to continue narrating on my own.

Well, my article is just the individual perspective of myself, which apparently is not supposed to be loaded with some web references to accentuate the reliability or credibility of my narration. But then again, isn’t recession back? If I am talking about Indian companies, most gear up themselves to face the challenges brought forth by the grotesque recession. Along with the preparation, what actually apprehensive is that they also seriously consider for the retrenchment under the pretext of cost-depletion management tactic, but the underlying fact is very disturbing for human resources.

Given the rate of growth in the number of unemployment, there’s no gainsaying in the fact that India is in for being recession-hit nation with alarming increase in the number of unemployed. This will definitely beget a domino effect in the form of social crimes and the birth of many other social evils; as we know that the worst crime-infested nation is the one with terrifying status-quo of unemployment.

I am a web content writer and have been to this professional involvement over 3 years. Those were days when I was inundated with the flow of freelance content writing assignments/projects from different clients. They were quite difficult to handle single-handedly, and therefore, I had to give most of them my refusal.
Today, the situation is different.

When I contact companies to ask for freelance writing projects to work over, I was replied with their helplessness. To my utter wonderment, some offered price for high quality content writing in such a diminutive extent that gave me an intense convulsion of hatred wrapped up by the surprised reaction to see the countless content writers almost begging for writing projects even on the lowest of the lowest price imaginable.

Should I not say that the status-quo is vindication of my concern that the recession has started to show its grotesque face in India? May be not in all fields such as education and medical ones, but most private sectors including SEO related works are getting affected by it.

No doubt, when supply is greater than the demand, we have situation, which to this context, is called recession. I hope, the situation is brought under control or end very soon or else it would be really difficult to live a decent living under such a terrible inflation-hit situation in India.
