Ashamed and Uneasy The BJP downplays Bhagwat’s Unsocial Remark

Ashamed and discomforted over RSS Supremo Bhagwat’s anti-social remark that cities are breeding ground of rapes, the defensive BJP tried to downplay RSS Chief’s remark, clarifying that his statement emphasized on traditional, cultural and value system of India, not what’s being interpreted other way round.

A statement quoted by BJP Party’s spokesperson, Ravi Shankar Prasad clarified that the contexts of Bhagwat’s speech should not be construed negatively as he was saying about traditional, samskar and value system of India that honors feminism. Prasad also favored Bhagwat’s remark by saying the RSS supremo backed rigorous punishment for the rapists.

Bhagwat’s statement that rape related crimes on women source from India not from Bharat made him a controversial figure in public. His had attributed the burgeoning graphs of rape incidents to women’s undue inclination towards Western cultures.

The BJP Party reiterated that women empowerment and giving them due respect and social security is one of the prioritized ideologies of the RSS. Prasad extolled RSS that the organizations run by the party have acquired extraordinary achievements that vindicate RSS’s philanthropic views for society.
