Do you know what I as a Hindu imagine about God? Well, I adore my Lord, Vishnu..the lord of all the Lords. I have seen his image in pictures at temples and at my home where we have allocated a good portion of entire space of a room to worshiping God (pooja ghar or worship place).
From childhood to now, I have seen him in pictures, being depicted as someone with blue-complexioned features, four hands each holding conch, mace, chakra and lotus; someone cloaked in yellow outfit (pitanbhar wastra) and a divine sun-alike light behind head! the pictorial representation of lord Vishnu had such an impact on me, I dismayed the lord (I do attribute the developed mindset to preaching, inculcated upon me, occasionally in my childhood).
The impression of pictorially quoted lord Vishnu remained irrevocably unchanged until I found someone (or thanks to some spiritual sources) which instilled in me the reality of God (stark contradiction to what I have conventionally self-acknowledged). They told me many things about lord Vishnu..and everything was spiritual.
It was like gaining an Enlightenment!
I intrinsically believe, if you are confused about God but love him notwithstanding, He sends someone to remove your confusion or miraculously, you have an encounter with certain source/s which disabuse you off everything negative/ambivalence about yr God. Interestingly, Hinduism adores Gods in the number of millions (some Gods do have their own genealogy, each being revered and described by generation).
However, I believe on lord Vishnu, but that doesn't mean I ignore other deities. I do have respect for them.
I also believe, it's not your adherence to one or two or many Gods, it's your heightened devotion that COUNTS! if you believe on God, never try getting your belief influenced by overbearing, grandiloquent and "blasphemously verbose" explanation from agnostic/atheists.
Trust him blindly..yeah TRUST YOUR GOD BLINDLY, WITH DEVOTION FOR THAT ONLY MATTERS..ONLY!
