When it comes
to making a comedy-action movie worth watching for audiences, Rohit Shetty is arguably
one of the best directors of Bollywood. Bol Bachchan is a multi-starrer movie
where every leading character has played their role to their best. The plot of
the story takes after Bollywood’s oldest blockbuster, Golmal (1979) featuring
Amol Palekar in dual personality role. From beginning to the end of the movie, you experience a roller coaster ride of chuckles brought up by the extraordinary performance
of the casts, especially kudos to Ajay's self-concocted Hingraji dialogue.
Abbas Ali
(Abhishek Bachchan) and his sister Sania (Asin Thottumkal) find themselves into unsavory situation wherein their relatives encroached their ancestral
property thereby rendering duos homeless. The ill-fated duos then decide to
migrate his village, Ranakpur, with his sister.
Very soon,
Abbas ends up being in a topsy-turvy situation, where falsifying becomes his
ultimate recourse to survive in the village and avoid the wrath of his employer,
Prithviraj Raghuvanshi (Ajay Devgn), the undisputed rowdy in the entire
Ranakpur. Meanwhile, Abbas falls in love with Prithviraj’s only sister, Radhika
(Prachi Desai), and to his utter surprise, even Prithviraj falls in love with
Sania as she bears close resemblance to his dead girlfriend.
As expected,
Rohit spares no pains to make the movie entirely healthy and fun-loaded experience for the audience. Action scenes are hilariously stupendous with vehicles flying in the air as if hit by terrible cyclone. Those, who have watched
1979 blockbuster, Golmal, will likely to spot certain similarities between both movies. However, the movie grips audience with its hypnotic performance of the
casts and well-plotted theme.
At last, every
actor has performed best in their given role. However, Ajay and Abhishek steal
the show. So far, the movie is not a waste of money at all. Can be watched with
family as well.
